ManWinWin modernizes its API with .NET, building a faster and more scalable foundation for the future
In 2026, ManWinWin will release 12 major CMMS features, one per month, focused on practical improvements driven by customer feedback.
Continuing its 2026 roadmap of product innovation, ManWinWin Software has completed a deep modernization of its API, migrating it from the legacy .NET Framework to the modern .NET platform (still widely known as “.NET Core”). This is the eighth major enhancement launched this year, following a consistent monthly cycle of developments aimed at improving usability, automation, performance, and operational control.

A new API built on modern .NET, engineered for performance, scale, and the cloud
ManWinWin has modernized the technology behind its API, moving it from the older .NET Framework to the current, actively developed .NET platform (built on ASP.NET Core). This isn’t a cosmetic update. It is a foundational change that reshapes how ManWinWin’s API performs today and how it will grow over the coming years.
Faster performance and responsiveness
ASP.NET Core was built from the ground up for high performance. The new API can process more requests more efficiently, which translates directly into faster response times for every integration, mobile app call, and third-party system connected to ManWinWin.
Greater scalability, with room to grow
The new architecture makes it far easier for the solution to scale as the number of clients, users, and integrations increases, reducing the risk of hitting technical limitations down the line as ManWinWin’s customer base continues to expand internationally.
Better readiness for the cloud
Modern .NET is designed with cloud environments in mind, including Microsoft Azure. This makes deployment, monitoring, configuration, and scaling of ManWinWin’s services considerably more straightforward, both today and as cloud adoption among our customers continues to grow.
Lower potential infrastructure costs
Because the new API can run on both Windows and Linux, customers and ManWinWin alike gain more freedom in choosing infrastructure, which can reduce licensing and hosting costs in certain scenarios.
Reduced dependency on Windows and IIS
Unlike the legacy .NET Framework, which is tightly bound to the Windows lifecycle, modern .NET is cross-platform and can be hosted through a variety of technologies and operating systems, freeing the API from a single ecosystem.
Stronger long-term support and technology evolution
Modern .NET is Microsoft’s primary platform for new development going forward. It follows a Long Term Support (LTS) release cycle, with each LTS version receiving three years of support and security updates, which allows ManWinWin to plan platform upgrades with much more predictability.

Running on a modern, regularly updated platform means ManWinWin’s API continuously benefits from the latest security improvements, vulnerability fixes, and features released by Microsoft, rather than relying on a framework that is gradually being phased out.
Cleaner, more maintainable code
ASP.NET Core brings modern mechanisms for configuration, dependency injection, and logging, encouraging a more modular, testable architecture that is easier for the development team to evolve over time.
Better monitoring and diagnostics
Built-in logging and configuration capabilities make it easier to monitor the API in production, identify errors quickly, and understand exactly how the application is behaving under real-world conditions.
Smoother deployment automation
The new technology fits naturally into modern CI/CD pipelines, making it possible to automate testing, validation, and publishing, and reducing the risk of manual errors during updates and releases.
Full container support
The API can now run through Docker and other container technologies, making deployments more consistent across development, testing, and production environments alike.
