ESTGA – University of Aveiro recently hosted an open class dedicated to maintenance management software and the practical use of ManWinWin Software within industrial environments.

ESTGA, the School of Technology and Management of Águeda, is part of the University of Aveiro and is recognized for its strong connection between engineering education and industrial practice. The session was integrated into the Industrial Maintenance Seminar and Drive Systems Seminar curricular units of the Master’s Degrees in Industrial Maintenance Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering.

The session brought together 12 students, six from each master’s program, together with three faculty members responsible for the curricular units. The initiative aimed to give students direct contact with real maintenance management practices and technologies currently used in industry.

The class included a presentation of Navaltik Management, introducing the company’s background and areas of expertise in maintenance management consulting and digital transformation projects.

The main focus of the session was the presentation of ManWinWin Software, an internationally used CMMS and maintenance management platform designed to help organizations plan, control, execute, and optimize maintenance operations. Students were introduced to several functionalities of the software, including work order management, preventive maintenance planning, asset management, KPI monitoring, reporting, and mobile maintenance operations.

The session was conducted by João Novais, who shared practical experience from maintenance management system implementation projects carried out in different industrial sectors, both nationally and internationally.

Particular attention was given to ManWinWin mobility solutions, with practical demonstrations showing how smartphones and mobile devices can support maintenance technicians in the field through real-time access to work orders, equipment information, inspections, and maintenance records.

The session, held at 5:00 PM and open to all interested participants, reinforced ManWinWin’s commitment to supporting engineering education, sharing technical knowledge, and preparing future maintenance professionals for the challenges of Industry 4.0 and digital maintenance transformation.
