Porto Editora improves maintenance efficiency with ManWinWin and centralizes operations

The Porto Editora Group, one of Portugal’s largest and most influential publishing houses, has taken a strategic step forward in maintenance management by implementing the ManWinWin CMMS software. The project has enabled the company to centralize critical information, integrate systems, and significantly improve operational efficiency across its industrial facilities.

The company operates in the publishing and distribution of books and educational materials and faces challenges resulting from the use of multiple platforms, as well as scattered records, hindering performance analysis and reducing visibility into operations.

Centralization and integration as pillars of transformation

The main objective of implementing ManWinWin was to centralize all maintenance information—equipment, materials, and interventions—ensuring an integrated and structured view of operations.

At the same time, mobility was introduced, enabling more agile communication between operators and technicians in the field, while integration with the group’s existing systems enhanced data consistency and process fluidity.

Another key focus was the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs), essential for supporting more informed, data-driven decision-making.

Implementation tailored to distinct realities

The project was implemented in two units with distinct characteristics—the Graphic Block Production Unit and the Zuslog Logistics Unit—which required a customized approach, tailored to the operational specifics of each unit.

Throughout the project, more than 600 pieces of equipment and over 1,000 materials were recorded, and dozens of maintenance plans were defined in alignment with the operational context of each unit.

The use of mobile platforms, such as the ManWinWin App at the Zuslog unit, stood out as a key differentiator, enabling real-time incident reporting and the direct recording of first-line interventions in the system.

Greater operational control and faster response

Following a pilot phase that facilitated team adaptation, ManWinWin began supporting maintenance operations with key features:

• Centralized and detailed equipment registration
• Materials management with inventory control
• Planning and control of work orders (preventive and corrective)
• Real-time reporting of malfunctions in the field
• The implementation of ManWinWin CMMS enabled a faster response to incidents, better resource management, and greater control over maintenance.
