SIOEN Accelerates Maintenance Digitalization with ManWinWin and Sets a Benchmark Within the Group
SIOEN Industries, a Belgian industrial group with a global presence in the fields of technical textiles, coated materials, and protective equipment, has taken a decisive step toward the digitalization of maintenance management with the implementation of the ManWinWin CMMS at the SIOEN Veranneman Technical Textiles facility in Ardooie, Belgium.
This facility, which specializes in the production of high-performance technical textiles, took on the role of a pilot in the maintenance transformation, a project focused on standardizing processes, improving efficiency, and creating a solid data foundation.
Structuring maintenance and preparing for the digital future
The project began by defining clear objectives:
- centralized assets
- maintenance plans and history
- improve planning to reduce unplanned downtime
- implement standardized procedures for work orders and materials management.
It was also necessary to create reliable performance indicators (KPIs) and optimize resource utilization, with a focus on creating increasingly data-driven maintenance.
Phased implementation aligned with on-site operations
The implementation of ManWinWin was conducted in three phases, combining on-site sessions, hands-on training, and specialized consulting.
The first phase consisted of data collection and initial system configuration, followed by an intensive second phase featuring training in asset management, maintenance plans, and work orders, which also marked the start of using ManWinWin Web.
In the final phase, the focus was on process consolidation, database expansion, and the integration of materials management. Approximately 3,000 items were imported, with coding aligned with the SAP system to ensure consistency and integration with the existing ecosystem.
High Adoption and Structured Data as a Basis for Decision-Making
The results demonstrate a solid and successful implementation. Approximately 95% of the facility’s assets were recorded in the system, ensuring a comprehensive view of maintenance.
The quality of the data entered and consistent adoption by the teams enabled the creation of a reliable information repository, essential for analysis, control, and continuous improvement. At the same time, best maintenance practices were quickly established, enhancing operational efficiency.
The involvement of the maintenance team and management was critical to the success, ensuring alignment throughout the project and its long-term sustainability.
In addition to these results, the project positions the Veranneman plant as an internal benchmark within the SIOEN Group, serving as a model for future implementations.
The standardization of processes, the structuring of information, and the adoption of a digital approach lay the groundwork for a uniform and scalable maintenance strategy at the global level.
A decisive step in the digitalization of industrial maintenance
The implementation of ManWinWin CMMS at SIOEN Veranneman represents an important milestone in the evolution of the group’s maintenance management, promoting a more structured, standardized, and data-driven approach.
